Value of classic motorcycles?
I am an expert in the classic car market, but I know? not too much? about the collective but of the classic Motorcycles. I was just looking at 50's and 60's to sell Harleys, and they did not seem too much f required? R them. Is not there a big collector's market en f? R? Older Motorcycles, or are certain ones really rare and valuable, please let me know, because I think really just curious bin.Ich, the motorcycle market is a kind of stupid if a perfect 1950's Harley in the form is worth less then a new one. I w nsche? The passenger car market was because I then f is a new, unspoilt? Hrte '71 Cuda? R could be 10 grand now.

Harleys are pretty much a dime a dozen. Reason, they so rarely changed engine designs or overall looks. Sometimes for a decade or so the only thing that would change was the color of the handgrips. Or perhaps the angle of the bars.
There is a market for older motorcycles but you have to get back into the Excelsiors, Black Vincents, Indians, Reading Standards, and other brands that have since ended production, at one time there were like 200 motorcycle manufactors in this country. It is these bikes that's when you start getting into some major bucks and major collectability.

Depends on what your wanting to collect. Old sportsters are not high on the chart for collectible items. Old Knucklehead, panhead and shovelhead Harley's have a higher collectible market due to their rarity. Old Indian chiefs are also very sought after.
Another thing to remember is that even if they don't seem like they're asking much them, It's only because you're used to car prices. Motorcycles were and still are much cheaper than most any car. So to make an example someone asking 10,000$-15,000$ for a Harley that cost 1000-1500$ is the same as someone asking 40,000-50,000$ for a car that may have cost only 4-5k back then. So by their nature motorcycles will almost always be much cheaper than cars whether it's brand new or a 50 year old collectors item.
