@peasant1381 Hi Keith. Yes there is a good shot of one arrow deflecting off the visor, which I thought was very interesting. I hope to do a series of serious tests using proper armour in the future. Ben is chatting to some armourers as we speak. They won't be on my channel though, as Ben is making his own, but I am sure you will hear of them on the grapevine when we start publishing them. Yes we are still at Romsey.

@HowToHistory They are tapered from 1/2" at the head to 3/8" at the nock.

What's the diameter size on those arrows? The look massive, as I well expect at those bow weights they'd have to be.

Me and the guys here are still having troubles with the weather but now its starting to look better, I think we might shoot some .. arrows and a movie within a few weeks and I think it will be one of those old TV's or a laptop or something like that ^^

@firebelliedtoad Ben has just confirmed to me that he was using a Hector Cole type 10.

@leonardo1480 Yes it can. We used to shoot against an old Ford Escort car door, with the inner panel/backing removed and it would go through the metal body of the door easily. No surprise really though, as the metal facing of car doors is very thin. ) An arrow wouldn't completely penetrate a complete car door though. Too much resistance on the shaft to slow it down.

Good to hear from you again Nick, good shooting , the helmet stood no chance nothing is in invincible against the war bow/long bow…. Hey Nick can one of those bows put an arrow through a car door or some thing like that?

Interesting clip, it goes to show that dispite the angles of the target, even if some arrows are deflected angled smooth armour can be penetrated, even if the armour in this case is a bike lid. nice one lads, keep posting
