Motorcycle Helmet Visor Law (UK)
Apparently you do not have to wear a visor by law, but if you do wear one there are a whole bunch of rules that you have to stick to or you'll be sent to prison for 20 years

@bfmv580 If you now want to try and get cocky aswell as politcal…its spelt importantly…not impotently. So not just the R but also the E is incorrect…..so i think youll find that "otherwise perfect sentance" is null and void. No run along and go back to school. There is a difference between makin a typo such as pressing 2 keys accidentally and acctually spelling the entire word wrong because your retarded. Also you didnt even notice youd spelt it fully wrong until being corrected… twice
@lmlmlml "o lol….i never botherd with a ped or learning the laws…lasws are there to be broken anyway hahaha." That was your comment to me. Now I miss ONE R from an otherwise perfect sentence, and you have the cheek to say I can't spell?! Is that really the only thing you have to pick on me with? I'm not trying to pick a fight, but I just find the motto 'Laws are there to be broken' stupid and seeing as you can't find the shift key to give a capital letter a go, it reflects you nicely.
@bfmv580 no shit…theres good and bad laws everywhere all over the world…and as you pointed out "most IMPORTANTLY give us freedom to live how we want without hurting anyone else. no ones been hurt by me breaking laws.
p.s next time try spelling properly befor giving me a politcal fucking speech.
@lmlmlml Well actually laws are there to keep the world from turning into one big mess, not to be broken. Some of them are ridicules and the government is purely too stubborn to admit they have been wrong all this time. But most of them keep you and me safe from being murdered, robbed and most impotently, give us freedom to live how we want without hurting anyone else. Although I wouldn't expect you to care about that.
@bfmv580 o lol….i never botherd with a ped or learning the laws…lasws are there to be broken anyway hahaha.
@lmlmlml When you get a 50cc bike at 16 years of age, they are supposed to be limited to 31 mph. But almost none of them are, and the police won't do anything about it. Kinda like an unwritten rule, they say they have to be limited but they won't enforce it. I'm guessing its just to keep the health and safety people happy. And in fact a policeman once asked me how fast my scooter went, and I said 45 (before I knew about the 31mph law) and he didn't say anything about restricting it. =)
the bit i dont get is u can get helmet with flip down sun glasses in and there legil or in my case on motorcross helmet i dont have goggles so i wear my old skiing goggles witch are orenge lenses or sunglasses so bugs dont hit me in the face
@TommysPS3 agree im on a suzuki ts50 that can only go 30mph its seares the liveing pooop out of me when bus's overtake it and allmost make me hit parked cars and up hills its worse
@TommysPS3 30mph restriction? forgive me but would you care to explain?
@TommysPS3 well the police due to their exams are SUPPOSED to know every law. how ever as its been proven multiple times they dont even know the basic laws.
Common Sense is illegal, Immoral and scares Politicians.
Cool VID, great sound quality.
Its not actually that stupid a law. Reason its there is the same reason windscreen are made to a certain standard – so the break safely. If your wearing a visor and you come off, last thing you want is one that shatters easy and sends a wave of plastic shards into your eyes. modern visors break (if you can manage to break one) with a clean cut. Goggles are laminated so simply crack.
i wear goggles its easyer
Sounds like the visor rules in the NFL. We also have a law like that down here for cars, in which your tints can't be too dark. (only on dirver, and passenger windows) And it's illegal to tint the windsheild. (of a car)
5:00 – what was that about??
Interesting Vid. I wonder what the official rationale is for this retarded law? I assume its either a 'potential' reduced visibility thing, which makes no sense or a security face recognition thing, which makes absolutely no sense!
Screw it I say! Wear whatever you want as long as your prepared to take it on the chin if your pulled. I wonder if anyone has ever been pulled in the UK for this or had a ticket for having one. Might get me one of those mirrored iridium visors they look nice.
xXx
Crysis lol
its so they can prosecute you, camera operators will know exactly where you are at any time, Nothing to do with your safety
As a biker youre an easy target for target driven pigs.
mine is quite complicated but if you check out my channel you'll see a vid by whitehearttiger who has done a great video on camera mounting
huh how do you mount your camera?
i agree that is a stupid law but i dont care about wearing a illegal visor the police cant know every law. But no the most pathetic law in motorcycling is 30mph restriction! WTF that is dangerous going on a 40zone or more at 30mph, that is just stupid and they say its safe. Fuck that
i use the mic on the pov, although cover it with mic foam first
Hey, do you use the mic on the pov to record your audio or do u have a seperate mic in the helmet?
record in 720 x 480 i think and then render to wmv in vegas 9 which gives the hd, the pov is excellent, so glad i bought it
POv1.5 yeah?
u record @ 640×40 and upscale to hd?
lolololololololol.
