I don't know about this.I have never seen super four with 10.5 red line.
V-tec is next model after(1999) and has a little bit different look.From 1994 to 1999 no v-tec.
Take your bike production number and ask in a honda seller about your bike.
oh. but my rpm only until 12. redline start from 10.5..i just dont understand my cb400 type. i can show u my engine.
You identify from the type of motor. Version R and version S have black motor with more air-cooling parts.Also the red indication in rpm starts in 13.000 no in 12.500 as the normal edition

what exactly is IG-PGM and how are the cams faster? Aren't the cams the same chain driven cams that are on all the CB400SFs. Just wondering. I ride one and would like to know where you found this information.

sf rules!
R is no v-tec, its pre v-tec, but it had (engine-wise) IG-PGM, faster camshafts, and the RR pipes, comparing to previous SF. Install A K&N kit, calibrate the carbs and the valves accurately, add an akrapovic or yoshi and its a rocket
in this bike there are 5 gears.. i used to drive one of this but i love my virago 400.. watch mine..
